Letter from Guy Giesecke

Dear Friends,

Excitement is building!

STD_Tower_Factoid.jpgEach day, we watch with anticipation as our new expansion begins to resemble more and more the state-of-the-art children’s hospital we merely dreamed of just a few short years ago. Beds are being placed in patient rooms. Cabinets are being stocked. Artwork is being hung. Our staff is busy acclimating themselves to the new space.

In November, our first patients will be seen in the new tower. Children’s of Mississippi medical experts will work in a facility that matches their skills, providing care, comfort and convenience to children and families from across our state and beyond.

The challenges of raising funds to help finance construction and completing construction during the COVID-19 pandemic are being met. Now the tower is complete, and together we have raised more than $83 million toward the $100 million goal.

This historic moment would not have been reached without your dedication to the cause of children’s health care. As we look forward to the ribbon-cutting on Oct. 13, to the tower’s opening and beyond, we are grateful for your continued support.
